Former state Rep. Anthony Kern is among the workers examining the nearly 2.1 million ballots on April 30, 2021.

Last week, lawyers representing Republicans in the state Senate released a cache of records from the so-called audit of the 2020 Maricopa County election results.

The records were released by a court order following a suit brought by the governmental watchdog group, American Oversight.

Nearly 22,000 documents were released and within those, about 3,000 of those are emails between Republican senators and the contractors being paid to carry out this process.
