Joe Arpaio announced Tuesday he’ll run in the 2022 Fountain Hills mayoral race. 

The press release says the former Maricopa County sheriff will focus on familiar topics such as illegal immigration and drug trafficking.

The former sheriff will be 90 years old next year.

He lost the 2016 sheriff race against Paul Penzone. He also lost the the Republican U.S. Senate primary in 2018 and the 2020 GOP sheriff primary.
