The Show regularly checks in with the Editorial Board of the Arizona Republic to talk about current issues facing the state and the region — featured in columns on the newspaper’s op-ed pages.

Even with one wet monsoon season, the extended drought affecting Arizona and the rest of the Southwest continues. That means the need to be more efficient with water use is becoming even more important.

In a new Republic column, Joanna Allhands wrote about a drip irrigation system that could help Arizona farmers save water — while continuing to grow the same number of crops.

The Show spoke with Editorial Page Editor Phil Boas of the Republic to learn about Allhands’ column.
