This Tucson pediatrician wants to talk vaccine safety with reluctant parents

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention approved Pfizer’s vaccine for kids age 5-11 on Nov. 2, and while many parents remain skeptical of the vaccine for their young children, others are eager to get in line.
On the Nov. 3 episode of The Show, we heard from one of them — mother Kara Karlson told us her daughter was signed up and ready.

And that means pediatricians around the state and the country are getting ready to give out the shots — as well as talk to reluctant parents about its safety.
Dr. Sean Elliot is a pediatric infectious disease specialist at Tucson Medical Center.
The Show spoke with him to learn what he’s seeing now.
