A Tucson woman has recently been indicted for allegedly embezzling thousands of dollars from a nonprofit foundation.

Amy Lyn O’Neill of Tucson has been indicted on counts of fraud and theft for allegedly embezzling $160,000 from the Jimmy Jet Foundation.

Authorities say she used the funds for personal purchases, cash withdrawals and paying her mortgage. She then allegedly transferred money from the Jimmy Jet Foundation’s investment account to conceal the embezzlement. The conduct allegedly occurred between February 2020 and May of this year.

O’Neill served as president of the foundation, which serves the Arizona Air National Guard’s 162nd Fighter Wing members and the Tucson community.
