Arizona's minimum wage is $12.80 per hour as of Jan. 1, 2022.

As the calendar turned to 2022, Arizona’s minimum hourly wage increased from $12.15 to $12.80 per hour.

The increase comes due to Proposition 206, passed by Arizona voters in 2016, which increased the minimum wage to 12 dollars in 2020, followed by changes determined by the consumer price index.

Arizona is now fifth in the country for state mandated minimum wage, trailing only California, Massachusetts, New York and New Jersey.

Some Arizona cities have city-mandated wages. Flagstaff’s minimum hourly wage was raised to $15.50 this year, and Tucson’s will increase to $13 in April, eventually reaching $15 in 2025 after voters approved the change in November.
