As part of the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021, almost 60 Arizona airports will get money to support operations, personnel, sanitation and COVID-19 prevention.

Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport will receive nearly $139 million while concessionaries doing business there will get more than $19 million. Several small airports around Arizona will get awards of $22,000 each.

The American Rescue Plan Act includes $8 billion for airports across the country. In 2020, the federal government allocated $12 billion in coronavirus relief funds through CARES Act Airport Program and the Airport Coronavirus Response Grant Program.

In a press release, Arizona Sens. Kyrsten Sinema and Mark Kelly said Arizona expects are expected to receive at least $360 million over the next five years through the bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act.
