FilmBar adapted to pandemic pressures by moving to a new outdoor location in 2021.

In-person entertainment options are on the list of things in our everyday lives that have been severely hampered by the pandemic.

And earlier this week, it was announced that FilmBar in downtown Phoenix is permanently closing.

Movie buffs were already concerned about where they would find unique films to watch — outside of their homes — and now there is one less option.

To learn more about how FilmBar’s closure affects the Valley and what may be next, The Show spoke with M.V. Moorhead, longtime arts writer and movie critic in Phoenix.
