University of Arizona President Robert Robbins says he is “cautiously optimistic” about the future of the pandemic.

Transmission rates remain significant and hospitals are still crowded in the state, but Robbins says the trends in Arizona, and on campus, are heading down.

As spring break approaches, Robbins urges the campus community to continue to wear masks, get vaccinated and take other precautions.
