Health expert says allergies may be bad as the pollen count rises in Arizona

If your allergies are acting up, you’re not alone. While Arizona’s weather and plant life contributes to a year-round allergy season, there will be even more pollen in the air for the next couple months.

Linnea Axman is with the University of Phoenix College of Nursing.

“That would be end of February and then it really starts to get high in April, May, June. And this year we’re in the moderately high to very high pollen count," Axman said. 

Axman also says there are some steps that might help including vacuuming and dusting frequently, staying hydrated and keeping up with Vitamin C, which is a natural antihistamine.
