Gov. Ducey enlisted 25 other governors in a Border Strike Force. But Arizona's wasn't so successful
Gov. Doug Ducey and 25 other governors launched a Border Strike Force April 18 that will be modeled after the one he launched in Arizona in 2015.
But on top of the fact most of the governors come from states nowhere near the border with Mexico, Richard Ruelas says Ducey’s Border Strike Force hasn’t been nearly as successful as he has made it out to be.
Ruelas is an investigative reporter for the Arizona Republic; he's dug into the border group and found most of its work is just a repeat of what the state’s Department of Public Safety is already required to do — and a majority isn’t even at the southern border.
The Show spoke with him to learn about the group.
