Jan. 6 congressional panel asks Arizona Congressman Andy Biggs to testify

The congressional committee investigating the U.S. Capitol insurrection has asked three Republican House members to testify, and the list includes Andy Biggs of Arizona. But Biggs announced on Twitter on Monday that he's refusing.

The nine-member panel investigating the Capitol uprising has asked Andy Biggs to appear sometime next week.
The committee chairman said in a letter to the congressman that the panel wanted to know more about his involvement in planning meetings that took place before the Jan. 6 demonstration.
It also has questions about his efforts to overturn the 2020 election.
Fellow Republican House members Mo Brooks of Alabama and Ronny Jackson of Texas have received similar letters.
