When you think about Southern culture in film, you may have a certain image in your mind. Maybe it’s something like "Gone with the Wind;" maybe it’s more like "Ernest Goes to Camp." Either way, Joe Bob Briggs has studied how Hollywood portrays the South.

Briggs is a film critic, writer and host of the comedy series, "The Last Drive-In." And he’s bringing his one-man show, "How Rednecks Saved Hollywood," to the Valley.

The Show spoke with him and started by asking, without giving anything from the show away, how rednecks have saved Hollywood.

"How Rednecks Saved Hollywood," will be at the Majestic Gilbert 8 on May 21.
