The Valley’s housing market is one of the hottest in the country right now, which is pushing prices higher and higher — both for prospective buyers and renters. And that means for a lot of residents, housing is out of reach, which is what The Show is calling our new project on housing.

Shannon Steward is a small-business owner; she owns the Vintage Arizona in Sunnyslope, which she opened three years ago, and is also a hairstylist. She grew up and rents an apartment in Sunnyslope, as well. But her rent is going up. By a lot. 

The Show spoke with her to learn about her experience.
