Summer monsoon storms are coming.

Jeff Spohn with Arizona Public Service said the storms can be disruptive in urban areas and those that lie at a low elevation. Spohn added people should expect power outages.

“Stay away from all down power lines. If you see a down power line, consider it energized, please call 911, and then call APS,” says Spohn.

Spohn also stresses the importance of staying alert.

He suggests installing the APS mobile app and signing up for emails and text messages if you live in its service area.
