There's a high rate of COVID-19 cases in the Valley. What to know 3 years into the pandemic

Going on three years into the pandemic, and COVID-19 has not gone anywhere.

A new omicron variant known as BA.5 has become the dominant strain, and case numbers are on the rise all across the country — and here in Arizona.

According to the latest Maricopa County COVID-19 dashboard, the vast majority of the Valley is dealing with “high” transmission.

For the latest update, The Show spoke with Maricopa County Public Health’s Dr. Nick Staab.
