Saturday’s storms brought heavy rain to many parts of the metro Phoenix.

North central Phoenix, north Scottsdale and Cave Creek saw the hardest downpour with 1 1/2 to 2 inches of rain. Areas that saw the heaviest rain also experienced flooding.

Austin Jamison is a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Phoenix. He says the new week will bring a drying trend for the Valley.

“As we go into Monday or Tuesday, we get into some drier air and storm chances trend down closer to 10% or so," Jamison said.

Jamison says storm chances may pick back up toward the end of the week with a rise in forecasted humidity.
