Grand Canyon National Park has lifted mandatory water conservation measures that were put in place last month.

An aging pipeline pumps water for both the North and South Rim at the park.

It breaks frequently, and this summer has been no exception.

In July, a series of leaks forced the South Rim to put water conservation measures in place.

It lifted them, then quickly reinstated them due to low storage tank levels.

They’ve been lifted again, but the park advises hikers that there is no water at Mile-and-a-Half and Three-mile rest houses on the Bright Angel Trail.
