The U.S. Forest Service is offering paid wildland firefighter training for women at a national forest in Arizona.

The federal agency is offering the training with all expenses paid to become what it calls Type 2 certified firefighters, equipped to battle wildland fires.

The deadline to apply is Sunday.

The training sessions are on the Apache Sitgreaves National Forests near Arizona’s border with New Mexico and take place throughout late September and early October.

The agency says successful candidates will be qualified to apply to wildland firefighting crews across the country.
