Cooler, drier weather expected in Phoenix this week

Although there’s a minimal chance for isolated showers Monday and Tuesday, metro Phoenix residents can expect mostly dry and cooler weather later this week.

By the weekend, high temperatures will drop from the high 90s according to Bianca Feldkircher with the National Weather Service in Phoenix.

“In terms of our daily average, temperatures start to quickly drop this time of year, so some relief is in sight. I know by next weekend, I think temperatures are looking like there’s a chance to be in the lower 90s,” she said.

As for Flagstaff, Feldkircher expects storms to be active in the afternoon and evening hours and the city will likely have highs only in the mid 60s by next weekend.
