The U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Highway Administration announced Tuesday that it has released $1.04 billion to support critical infrastructure in Arizona.

The money is part of President Joe Biden’s infrastructure law, which is intended to help states rebuild their roads, bridges and tunnels.

Nationwide, $59.9 billion in fiscal year 2023 funding was sent to states.

That's a $15.4 billion increase from fiscal 2021, the last fiscal year before the law was implemented.
