From landspouts to gustnados: What's fueling Arizona's weird weather events

This past weekend, Phoenix residents were bewildered by what looked like a tornado during a Sunday storm. Photos and videos of the phenomenon went viral, but, it turns out, it was actually a landspout.

So what’s a landspout?

To learn about these and other unique Arizona weather events, The Show spoke with Randy Cerveny, a professor of geographical sciences and urban planning at Arizona State University.
