The family of a Northern Arizona couple who went missing while kayaking in Rocky Point has called off the search for the remaining victim.

Organizers of the family’s GoFundMe page wrote Thursday that the search for Corey Allen should conclude. The missing man’s kayak was found southeast of Puerto Peñasco.

The post went on to say that search and rescue attempts incur risks and that the family wants others to be safe.

Allen and his spouse, NAU professor Yeon Su-Kim, went missing Thanksgiving Day after winds picked up on the water. She was found dead. The post said the family would return Yeon-Su, celebrating her and her husband’s lives and helping their children settle into a new reality.

"Yeon-Su and Corey touched so many of you, and we hope the joy and love they brought to so many during their lives will stay with you throughout yours," the post said.
