Arizona Gov.-elect Katie Hobbs has started to announce who will hold key state cabinet positions once her administration takes over in January.

Hobbs says her picks “are some of the best minds Arizona has to offer” and they will help “transform our state’s health, social, and safety systems so that they work for everyone.”

Her pick to head the Department of Economic Security is Angie Rodgers, who has been the president and CEO for the Arizona Food Bank Network for the past 10 years. Hobb’s pick to lead the Department of Health Services is Dr. Theresa Cullen, the current director of the Pima County Public Health Department.

A total of five top cabinet positions have been assigned so far, and more are still expected. All appointments will need to be confirmed by the Republican-controlled state Senate.
