What to do about the number of chronically absent Arizona students

Too many Arizona students are missing too much school.

That’s among the findings of a new report from Helios Education Foundation and others that looks at the issue of chronic absenteeism in grades K-8.

The problem is especially acute among low-income students and students of color.

Paul Perrault, senior vice president of community impact and learning at Helios Education Foundation, joined The Show to talk about the problem and some possible solutions.
