Amid Super Bowl festivities, two NFL moms will be hosting an event in Peoria to celebrate women who have survived domestic violence.

S.M.O.O.O.T.H is a nonprofit advocating against domestic violence and helping women transition out of shelters. Its founder is Sabrina Greenlee, the mother of Arizona Cardinal DeAndre Hopkins.

A domestic violence survivor herself, she is partnering with NFL mom, Annie Apple, to host Super Bowl 47 SoftLife Fest.

“Our goal for this event is to just let ladies know that when they get to the park and they put on their flower crown, that they’re a Queen for a day. So within these couple of hours we hope to just love on them. The motto is to meditate, elevate and celebrate," Greenlee said.

The Feb. 11 event will offer workshops for reflection and developing personal goals.
