A separate bill that would require public schools serving sixth- through 12th-graders to provide feminine hygiene products in women’s and gender-neutral bathrooms appears stalled.
The issue of period poverty has gained momentum in recent years, and an Arizona-based nonprofit has been at the forefront of those conversations.
Demetra Presley is executive director of Go with the Flow, which works to provide free period products to students, as well as low-income and unsheltered people across Arizona. The Show spoke with her a few years ago, when she’d just started out and decided to check back in with her. Presley talked about how what she does has changed and evolved over the last few years.
