When the Senate committee on director nominations recommended the full chamber reject Governor Hobbs’ nominee to lead the state Department of Health Services, GOP members cited Dr. Theresa Cullen’s record in Pima County during the pandemic as a big reason why.

When the full Senate, in fact, voted against Cullen’s nomination, leadership sent out a press release calling her a “medical tyrant.”

But Substack writer Robert Robb believes public officials should generally be given a pass when it comes to actions they recommended or took to deal with COVID-19.

Robb joined The Show to explain his thesis that we shouldn’t hold it against people who were in public office for the decisions they made during the pandemic.
