Fontes asks court to order Finchem to pay thousands of dollars in sanctions

Arizona Secretary of State Adrian Fontes has asked an Arizona Superior Court judge to order Mark Finchem to pay about $67,000 in sanctions.
When Fontes defeated Finchem in the secretary of state race, Finchem claimed misconduct and sued. That case was deemed groundless and “not brought in good faith.”
The court then sanctioned Finchem.
Fontes is also petitioning the state Supreme Court to dismiss former governor candidate Kari Lake’s election suit, saying it too is groundless.
