The Arizona House of Representatives approved a new state budget for the fiscal year starting on July 1; the Senate had already OK’d it and Gov. Katie Hobbs says she’ll sign it.

The nearly $18 billion plan includes money for housing and a one-time tax credit for families and a lot of infrastructure projects among many other provisions. It does not, however, include a cap on the state’s universal school voucher program, which drew the ire of many Democrats.

GOP leaders in the state legislature are calling the new budget a win, as is the governor.

The Show spoke with Arizona Rep. David Livingston, a Republican from Peoria and chair of the House Appropriations Committee, on the budget.
