Final-Five Voting advocate says her system would eliminate 'lesser of 2 evils' elections

Arizona voters next year will likely have a chance to weigh in on potential changes to the state’s election system.
Lawmakers have referred a measure to the ballot asking residents to ban ranked-choice voting, both statewide and in city elections. Gov. Katie Hobbs vetoed a similar bill this year that would have also banned ranked-choice voting.
At the same time, there are groups looking to adopt that system, or others, in an effort they say would improve the way government works.
Katherine Gehl is one of those advocates for change. She’s the founder of the National Campaign for Final-Five Voting and has been working with the group Save Democracy Arizona — it’s one of the groups looking to get a proposal on next year’s ballot.
The Show spoke with Gehl, who explained what the Final-Five Voting system entails.
