The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is now recommending all U.S. baby boomers born between 1945 and 9165 get a one-time test for viral Hepatitis C.

One in 30 baby boomers has been infected with the virus, and most don't know it.

Hepatitis C causes serious liver diseases and is the leading cause of liver transplants in the U.S. Newly available therapies can cure up to 75 percent of infections.
