Phoenix Police Detective John Hobbs will be buried Monday. The funeral procession will shut down roads this morning in the North Valley.

Hobbs had been a cop for 21 years when he was killed in a shootout last week. Monday morning, a procession of police vehicles will make its way to Christ Church of the Valley in Peoria. The state
highway department said a nine-mile stretch of eastbound Loop 101 between 75th Avenue and Seventh Street will be closed at 11:30 a.m. Ramps from Interstate 17 onto the Loop 101 will also shut down.

The procession will eventually go to Phoenix Memorial Park on Beardsley Road, where Hobbs will be interred. ADOT warns drivers to plan alternate routes between 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m.
