Arizona Coyotes play at Gila River Arena in February 2015.

The deadline to submit bids to replace the Arizona Coyotes as the manager of Gila River Arena has come and gone.

Glendale received three bids to run the arena, according to city officials. But they’ve declined to say who submitted them. A Coyotes official confirmed the team did not make a proposal.

The city’s revised deal with the Coyotes allows Glendale to take control of the arena in July.

Finalists to become the next arena manager will be announced in early January. And the Glendale City Council is scheduled to announce its selection on Feb. 8.

The governing body could opt to pass on all three proposals and request more bids.

But, if a new manager isn’t chosen by July 1, the Coyotes would likely continue to manage the arena for another year until the team’s contract to play in Glendale ends.

Team officials said earlier this month that the team is considering moving to Arizona Veterans Memorial Coliseum while a new arena is built in downtown Phoenix or the East Valley.
