Apple CEO apologizes for mapping issues

September 28, 2012

Apple CEO Tim Cook is apologizing to customers for problems encountered with their new iOS 6 Maps application.

The iPhone 5, which was released last Friday, came with Apple’s new mapping app, rather than the previously installed Google Maps, but customers have complained that it’s missing locations and providing wrong directions.

Cook said in a statement that Apple is working to fix the bugs and suggested using other map applications until the issues are resolved.
