Dana Naimark discussed the priorities for child protection.

After a brief detour as House Republicans disagreed with Senate Republicans, including Senate President Andy Biggs, the bodies agreed on a budget and are waiting for Gov. Jan Brewer to decide whether to sign or veto the bills.

Funding for the new Child Protective Services agency was perceived to be a slam dunk, but not knowing exactly what the agency will encompass has left the final numbers in doubt.
