A Phoenix woman is now facing federal charges for allegedly throwing a shoe at Hillary Clinton last week. Clinton was speaking to a trade group in Las Vegas when investigators say Alison Michele Ernst threw a shoe at the former secretary of state. The shoe did not strike Clinton. 

Ernst already faced local charges in Las Vegas. Now federal authorities have accused Ernst of trespassing and violence.
