October 24, 2012

Retiring U.S. Senator Jon Kyl is donating historical materials and papers that were collected during his 26 years in the House and Senate to the University of Arizona. Kyl discusses what the papers include and what he thinks scholars will discover.

Historian and political biographer Jack August also joins the program to talk about the significance of congressional papers and intriguing things he's discovered in decades of research. August has written about Arizona's first U.S. Senator Carl Hayden, as well as Senator Dennis DeConcini and Governor Raul Castro.
