April 29, 2013

We are pleased to share the voices and conversations of our community from StoryCorps Phoenix. StoryCorps Phoenix is the project that records the stories of everyday people and archives them at the Library of Congress.

The StoryCorps Mobile Booth is parked at the Phoenix Art Museum and has been very busy. We’ll air a conversation each Monday on KJZZ as part of the Phoenix visit.

Today, a conversation with Jes Quiroz and his daughter Irma.

Jes grew up in Peoria. When he was young, he used to work with his parents at their local business. While working late one night, Jes made a mistake as kids often do.

Jes and Irma came to Story Corps Phoenix to record their story.
