Volunteers call voters to encourage them to vote at the Arizona Republican Party Headquarters in Phoenix

With Democrats mounting a serious challenge to move Arizona into their column this year, the Trump campaign is seeking to build momentum moving toward Election Day.

The Republican nominee’s son addressed a room of volunteers and supporters at the state Republican Party headquarters in Phoenix on Wednesday. Donald Trump Jr. acknowledged it’s been a long campaign but encouraged supporters not to give up in the final days.

“Keep doing what you’re doing. It’s only — what — like 12 more days? I expect at least 2,000 or 3,000 phone calls from each of you a day,” Trump joked.

Volunteers were busy calling registered Republicans and early voters to make sure they cast their ballots. Despite recent polling that shows their candidate slightly behind Democratic challenger Hillary Clinton, supporters were optimistic that independents will break their way for a win.

Campaign volunteer James Stafford said he thinks Trump’s position on immigration will be what wins over Arizonans. “That’s it for me," Stafford said. "With the drugs and the illegal immigration coming across — it has to stop and I think he’s the only person that has any shot at doing it.”

Donald Trump Jr. also spoke to young voters at the ASU Tempe campus.
