Where Do Arizona Democrats Stand With Napolitano?

Surrogates for Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton have been making frequent appearances in Arizona in recent weeks — including Donald Trump Jr., First Lady Michelle Obama and the vice-presidential nominees.

But yesterday saw a stand-in with deep Arizona connections: former Gov. Janet Napolitano, who was here on behalf of Clinton. Napolitano was popular in the state, easily winning re-election in 2006. But when she left for the Obama administration, Jan Brewer became governor, leading to the passage of some legislation, including SB 1070, that deeply bothered many Democrats.
