Black bear found in Sierra Vista

The Arizona Game and Fish Department has captured and relocated a black bear found up a tree in Sierra Vista, Friday. Spokesman Mark Hart says the one-year-old male was darted with a tranquilizer, tagged and taken to a mountain range miles away.

“Any bear that is captured, transported and released is ear-tagged so that we know we have the same individual should we come across him again,” Hart said.

Hart says they removed four bears from the area last year, but that two of them returned.
