Gas prices remain stable

Arizona drivers are seeing continued price stability with the statewide average now at $3.49-a-gallon or about the same as a week ago. AAA Arizona spokeswoman Michelle Donatti says that's mainly the result of the slow rise in the price of crude oil.

“We have seen the price of crude oil move up a little bit this week and we know that this is something that is a result of some activity happening in oil-sensitive regions of the world,” Donatti said.

Donatti says, the wildcard in gas prices right now is the hurricane season, because it’s hard to know how that might affect prices. Drivers in Flagstaff are paying the state's highest prices at $3.70-a-gallon, while Tucson drivers pay the least at $3.26.
