Number Of Registered Independent Voters In Arizona Increases

July 24, 2013

The Secretary of State’s office says Arizona's voter registration numbers have risen by about 2,300 since the last report in April. Spokesman Matt Roberts says the number of non-affiliated voters increased the most,

“The two other state-wide major parties have seen either decreases, slight decreases or they’ve gone up and down a little bit, over the last couple years especially,” Roberts said.

The Republican Party has the most registered voters, followed close by a growing number of Independents. Roberts says there will be a push in a few months by both parties to increase their numbers before the 2014 election.
