Navajo Nation Police Officer Shot And Killed, Suspect In Custody

A Navajo Nation police officer was shot and killed early Sunday morning.

Authorities said the officer was shot while responding to a domestic violence call near the small town of Prewitt, in western New Mexico.

The officer has been identified as 27-year-old Houston James Largo .

The FBI and Navajo Nation are investigating the shooting.

They say a suspect is in custody. Officer Largo had been with the Navajo Nation police for five years.
