Key Republican members of the Arizona congressional delegation say they have major concerns with the GOP’s replacement for the Affordable Care Act. 

Andy Biggs, Trent Franks and Paul Gosar, three of the state’s most conservative congressmen, oppose the legislation as it currently stands. Gosar said anything short of a complete repeal of Obamacare is a problem for him.

“The way the bill is written right now, I am an absolute no. This doesn’t turn the trajectory down, this makes it worse," Gosar said.

Franks believes the plan can be improved dramatically but doesn’t blame its major backers.  

“Speaker Ryan and Donald Trump both want what is right for this country," Franks said on Thursday. "They were put in an untenable position of having to write a major bill after a colossal screw up by one Barack Obama.”

As of late last week, Congressman David Schweikert remained undecided. The big issue for him? 

“We have a very unique Medicaid system in Arizona. I want to maximize and make sure that we have lots of optionality," said Schweikert.

The full House is expected to take up the so-called American Health Care Act later this week.
