August 05, 2013

Arizonans planning overseas trips this month are being urged to be aware of the situation around them. The U.S. has issued a worldwide travel alert, and AAA spokeswoman Stephanie Dembowski said it should not be ignored, especially if you are traveling to the Middle East.

“This warning is specifically for the Middle East North Africa regions,” Dembowski said. “However, anytime you travel you want to take precautions especially if you are travelling internationally.”

Dembowski advises travelers to stay informed during their trips by checking the state department's website for additional warnings and other information.
