The University of Arizona has removed a fraternity from campus for at least the next four years after allegations of hazing.

Accusations include assaulting a pledge and providing alcohol to minors, along with general hazing. According to a letter from the Dean of Students, members of the Alpha Sigma Phi fraternity violated the school's code of conduct.

Authorities said campus police have arrested a 19-year-old student.

University officials said recognition of the fraternity will be pulled through at least May of 2021, when they are eligible to reapply.

The fraternity will not be able to conduct any activity on campus -- including recruiting members or holding meetings.

Members have approximately two weeks to appeal the decision.
