The owner of the Arizona Coyotes has bought out all of the team’s minority stakeholders.

NHL sources confirmed the sale, as well as a search for a new team CEO.

The reorganization is an effort to strengthen ownership, and to resolve various disputes among existing owners, according to a statement from the Coyotes.

The Coyotes have repeatedly said they will leave Gila River Arena in Glendale but have had little luck so far. A deal to partner with Arizona State University fell through months after it was announced. State leaders did not pass legislation to help finance a new hockey arena in downtown Phoenix or the East Valley.

Coyotes owner Andrew Barroway is 100 percent committed to the Valley, according to NHL sources.
