With the Lost Lake Festival underway, the Phoenix Fire Department is warning concertgoers to plan for this weekend’s high temperatures.

Phoenix Captain Jake Van Hook said the department will have paramedics, extra ambulances and emergency carts in the area to treat those feeling ill.

“Phoenix fire will be part of the public safety package that’s with Phoenix PD to just supplement whatever needs they might have,” Van Hook said.

According to Van Hook, staying hydrated and being aware of your symptoms such as dizziness is key to beating the heat. Temperatures are expected to be in the high 80s and low 90s this weekend.
